Puolustusministeri Carl Haglundin asettama työryhmä julkisti tammikuussa mietintönsä "Suomen tiedustelulainsäädännön suuntaviivoja". Työryhmä esittää tiedustelua koskevaa lainsäädäntöä, joka oikeuttaisi puolustusvoimat ja Suojelupoliisin harjoittamaan ulkomaan tiedustelua sekä verkkovalvontaa kansallista turvallisuutta vaarantavista uhkista.

Edellisen Paxin ilmestymisestä on melko pitkästi aikaa ja sen kyllä huomaa aiheiden kertymisestä. Charlie Hebdon ampumisten jälkeen tuntui, että mikään itseään kunnioittava lehti ei voi juuri muuta seuraavassa numerossaan käsitellä, mutta samoihin aikoihin Nigeriassa Boko Haram tappoi monikymmenkertaisesti Pariisissa kuolleiden ihmisten verran toisia ihmisiä, yhtä arvokkaita. Sen jälkeen on tapahtunut paljon muutakin, ja yritämme Paxissa edes raapaista pintaa sen kaiken tämän lehden aiheiden kannalta olennaisten aiheiden osalta.
