Oranssilla väkivaltaa vastaan – osallistu kilpailuun! »

YK:n julistamaa kansainvälistä väkivallattomuuden päivää vietettiin 2. lokakuuta kolmatta kertaa. Samana päivänä vietetään Intian itsenäisyysjohtaja Mahatma Gandhin syntymäpäivää, jonka YK julisti väkivallattomuuden teemapäiväksi vuonna 2007. Tänä vuonna Rauhanliitto kampanjoi väkivallattomuuden puolesta kehottamalla ihmisiä pukeutumaan oranssiin.

Ydinaseiden keksimisen jälkeen ihmiskunta on väkivallan kultuurin ja rauhankulttuurin tienristeyksessä. Jatkammeko väkivallalla vai valitsemmeko toisenlaisen tavan ratkaista konflikteja? Mikä yhdistää ihmisiä? Mitä me tarvitsemme elääkseemme rauhassa? Näihin ja moniin muihin kysymyksiin pureutuu 18.11. avattu näyttely Väkivallan kulttuurista rauhankulttuuriin.

Gandhi tahtoo sinut 2.10.! -kampanjan valokuvakilpailun voitti oransseissa alttarille astellut vihkipari.

Rauhanliiton väkivallattomuuden päivän kampanjan Gandhi tahtoo sinut 2.10.! yhtyedessä järjestettiin valokuvauskilpailu. Koska kampanjaan pystyi osallistumaan pukeutumalla oranssiin, oli kilpailun aiheena kuvata itseään tai ystäviään oransseissa väkivallattomuuden tunnelmissa.
